Clarifying Hair Rinse
This midweek hair rinse helps remove product buildup, stimulates the scalp while cleaning out hair follicles, and leaves smooth, glossy locks. It is not heavy, and you don't need to shampoo afterward.
Ingredients:
W. W. Rosemary, Lavender Flowers, Apple Cider Vinger with mother
-
If you see W.W. before an herb, it indicates it was grown here on the Wildwood Wonder Cottage Homestead using our beyond-organic gardening practices.
Shelf Life:
3-6 months
How to use:
-
Use once a week.
-
Fill a squeeze bottle or wide-mouth mason jar a quarter full of Clarifying Hair Rinse, then fill the rest with water.
-
First, wet your hair thoroughly in the shower.
-
If you have long hair, you can gather it up and let it sit inside the jar for a couple of minutes, then squeeze the rinse back into the jar using your free hand.
-
While using the rinse for the next step, keep your eyes closed and your head tilted back to prevent runoff from entering your eyes.
-
Squeeze or pour over your scalp and wet hair. Start using a small amount first. Then, you can adjust as you see how much you need for the hair length.
-
Gather your hair in your hands and squeeze it together to help saturate it with the rinse.
-
Massage your scalp to cover it as much as possible. I like twisting my hair into a clip to let the rinse sit for a minute while I do other shower things.
-
Rinse the scalp and clean your hair under running water.
Also, consider using our moisture-clarifying scalp scrub a few days before.
Others, including myself, have used only the clarifying rinse as a shampoo substitute. Just rinse it out without shampooing. I do this on days when I might not go out right away, so the apple cider smell has time to dissipate.
